That's an oversimplification. Ideologically America is a near equally divided country. Due to our ridiculous electoral college where it can matter more where you vote than how you vote. For example had Harris received just 80,000 more votes scattered across 4 states she would have won instead of trump. Also in 2016 Clinton received 65,853,625 votes to Trump's 62,985,106 votes but lost the election.

@Roundandroundwego You have the right to your opinion.

@MoveAlong othering is fascist, according to some people. Skipping the argument, not deigning to respond is, too. But I'm borrowing old news! You certainly have opinions. You pretend that there's no uniparty, but of course, evidence would not be offered when you have such contempt! Very fascist. But denislists deny.
My opinion is that there's continuity of policy in the Washington uniparty, through all administrations.
Contempt or silence would be your side, the vast hegemonic majority. Winners.

There is still just the smallest chance that Americans will emerge from what is coming with a revived sense of community, responsibility and a desire to see justice for all. Of course, it will have to get a lot worse before that happens..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I've stopped waiting for honesty from this "country". A huge body blow might or might not make them consider reality.

@Roundandroundwego You and I are not going to agree on much. For a start, even if superman showed up today and took over, america would still be doomed by its foreign debt and the hollowing out of the $US.. However, that aside, what sadly has to happen to reverse course politically is a major purge of the Trump administration and all those connected with the Heritage Foundation. Nothing short of that will stop them. Frankly, I think things will have to get much worse before Americans are ready for a French revolution style solution.. And even then, how do we know what comes next will not be worse??😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I think that only a surge in understanding and some actual learning by the population in the USA would end the current political stasis that they cling to desperately. They might have some idea what conservative think tanks do, they probably recognize their own policies from the Heritage Foundation, probably they know that's where their policies come from. They're not honest enough to vote, right now.
