An old condom
@Nunlover
The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is now displaying a unique “luxury souvenir” from the 1830s: a condom likely made from a sheep’s appendix, decorated with artwork showing a partially undressed nun beckoning three aroused clergymen.
Beneath the image is the French phrase “Voilà mon choix” “There, that’s my choice.”
Believed to have originated from an upscale Parisian brothel, this unusual condom has now become the first contraceptive sheath to enter the museum’s collection.
