Also don't forget the animals who fought in the wars to help

Memorial Day, we remember not just human service members, but also the animals who served and sacrificed alongside them. Animals like dogs, horses, mules, and even pigeons played vital roles in various conflicts, carrying messages, transporting supplies, and serving as companions. Specific examples include Nemo, a German Shepherd who fought bravely in Vietnam, and Reckless, a Korean racehorse who hauled ammunition during the Korean War.

I had a FB b friend once that served with his soldier. His name was Gabe and he looked like a Lab. He was a bomb sniffer. I can’t remember his record of locating bombs but there were so many. He saved a lot of lives. He was honored on Betty White Hallmark show.
