Hello Germany…you lost!

On May 7, 1945, Germany officially signed an unconditional surrender, marking the end of World War II in Europe. The day is now celebrated as Victory in Europe Day.

( reasonably certain this took effect on the 8th because of the end of war celebrations here this week)

They lost the War (thank God), but there's an argument to say they won the Peace that followed. The need is to be on our guard to oppose Nazism in whatever guise it comes so that another generation of young people do not have to sacrifice themselves in war.
@FreddieUK you aren't at war and mercenaries from Poland aren't typically young. So war forever and no political options.

It was agreed that the surrender would officially take effect at 11:01 p.m. on May 8.

And when the holiday is on a Thursday, it's customary to take Friday off, have a 4-day weekend, and then show up late on Monday.

People and nations should learn from History, but it's clear from what's happening around the world, that this is not the case.

That’s amazing! That is a wonderful day to celebrate.
Yet corporatism never lost and communism never had a home in fascist Europe or America. Nothing changes. Nothing ever will. Except you will finally finish off everything alive.

It's scary how a Country with such high culture, could sink into the lowest form of depravity

@BigGuy2 Yes. It's a lesson that all countries need to keep in mind.
@BigGuy2 the high opinion the West had of itself has been an obvious lie for centuries.
