During WW2, when your parents were kids, did your parents have to wear

Did they have to wear Tags on a string around their neck that had their name and address on them every day when they went to school?

My mom did. Everyone in Saint John did. Kids anyways

My father was in medical school during the war.

@ArtieKat Why did you express the shock emoji at my answer? I was born in 1995 and at the time my dad was 20 and Mom was 19. They were born in the seventies (1975 & 1976). My grandparents were all born in the 40's & early 50's. None of my parents or grandparents were walking to school during WWII. 🤷‍♀

@sarabee1995 Sorry, it always comes as a surprise to me that parents with adult children (like you) could have been born in the 1970s. That's like the day before yesterday to me! I understand the rest.

@ArtieKat Our parents had us young during university which is why we lived with my grandparents until we were five years old as m&d finished their educations. We were a big oooops! 🤣

@sarabee1995 I get all of that. I was doing my Finals when they were born - and I still remember those times. You're a proper grownup now, Sara :-)

@ArtieKat Grown up, sure. Proper, remains to be seen! 🤣🤣🤣
