I come from a Jewish family who are from the far southwest of Russia. The Nazis never occupied Sochi area, but they did manage to occupy the city of Krasnodar. I believe 7000 civilians were killed; Jews, communists.
There are still Jews in Europe and Russia. America and Israel is where much of the power lies.
