All these crusaders and only one ladder

Seriously, only one guy thought in The First Crusade maybe a ladder would be useful? I'm sure the rest of tbe army in march just looked at him plodding along carrying it like he was some sort of idiot for taking such a bug useless thing along with him.

Then they all get there and stand around outside the wall while getting shot at by arrows thinking what a SNAFU, someone should of brought along ladders.

That's how it works in the military.
