Old World historians, how powerful were fish and fishermen in Med culture, B.C.?

Amylynne · 26-30, F
well how powerful were the fish
id say that since there were MANY more, and un-fished, they would grow to the largest and thus strongest size

now for fishing,, it is a source of the highest protein content, and are easier to get, often less perilous than hunting
all over the ancient world we find HUGE amounts of fish remains and artifacts anywhere man can get to the water.
now what KIND of power. economic? quite a bit
but there are only a few places across out history where such persons wielded anything like political power,
those Mediterranean Fishers were a huge part of the overall success of those that lived there.
consider the advanced Minoans. be sure that good nutrition had a lot to do with cultural success
