For Some the World Is Not Enough

The wheels of time have turned the tide of turbulent waters toward the shores of what we used to call the land of the free and the home of the brave. Today we are now emersed in a quandary of circumstances far beyond the realms of a nation we used to be. As dangerous and perplexing as the times of today are we have yet to gain some solace that our world will be free from all the ravages man continues to do.

The balance of nature has been in constant conflict with the ambitions of man. We are at a critical juncture in the history of our planet. The despicable actions that man continues to do are having catastrophic consequences for all of mankind. For some the world is not enough.

There remain sobering truths that have yet to be realized in the teaching of the history of humanity. The lawlessness of predated history has been kept alive through-out the centuries. By the time of Moses mankind had already established a despotism system of governance. When the Ten Commandments were handed down to Moses' humanity had finally found a way to reach and be able to achieve a point of civility. No longer compelled to act instinctively. Unfortunately, through the ages many have and still do fail to apply those codes of conduct for all of mankind.

Today our world seeps with a seemingly endless assault on human dignity, virtue, humility, humanity, and empathy. The delicate balance of nature has never been improved by man's intervention and indifference. Our Founding Fathers knew the dangers of oppressive blind obedience to one individual or organization. Our Constitution and our Bill of Rights underscored the lessons that history is supposed to teach us. Yet, for the past 50 plus years there has been a steady decline of our founding principles of Liberty, Justice, Education and Morality.

The decline of our intellectual excellence of our nation that prevailed up until 1970 has contributed to the greatest collapse of American Democracy. When government controls curriculums as they have been doing for decades, the results are as dangerous as a standing army. We are seeing the direct results today in the way our elected officials react to the many crises that are sweeping all across the country and the world.

The United States is now a nation who has lost its moral compass. The ship of state is floundering in seas of ignorance, indifference and apathy. Until we realize what we have become as a nation the United States will be that great experiment that failed to keep its promise to the American people and the world.

I think you could write that piece and base it on most countries across the entire globe, maybe slightly different perspective or angle but it applies in most circumstances.
