Take a moment and reflect

I was reflecting back on the days when I laced up my skates and donned my copper and blue jersey.

I was recalling the feeling of the cool air of the ice hockey arena pass through my helmet and overtop my long brown hair.

I was remembering the times when my legs felt so powerful, stride after every extended stride.

I can recall those men’s league games against former NHL, AHL and Junior talents. These rare opportunities now stuck in my memories, as the back gets too old and the blood too thin.

Take a moment and just think this moment is rare…this second, minute, hour comes once and only once.

May your moments be filled with happiness…and more than a rare opportunity for greatness.

I worked with a guy who played in a very competitive amatuer league in NYC. He even had a NHL Hall of Famer on his team (Glenn Anderson)

This guy played full contact hockey until 40 😵‍💫
