would this be a 'strange' thing to do or is it my choice

[c=005E2F]i am a medieval enthusiast, been to a few reenactments in the past, and sometimes i get tempted to wear a medieval hood or cowl just going to the shops outside, or a shawl around my head to make myself look like a figure from the middle ages...would there be anything wrong with that? to be different from the social ''norms''?

should i not give a shit about what people think and just go ahead and do it?[/c]

Yep. If you want to wear a cowl, wear it. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. I always say that by dressing or doing things because of what other people think, to me it's like, I'm allowing other people to dictate how I live my life, and that's something I try to not do.

Just do it! Most people dress in such boring conformist styles that I am all in favour of anyone who wants to be even a little different.
