What's your knowledge of history really like? [I Love History]

This morning I spent correcting the views of a senior academic fellow on the Maginot Line and why the Germans actually did win the Battle for France. I couldn't believe my ears that the knowledge of historical facts is this low. I had to remind him that the non-retrievement of damaged French tanks and such were really important details. Is knowledge is a real decline right now?

Depends on what part of history we are talking about. I have a reasonable grasp of many significant events. The history of Ireland is something I know in detail though. I know more about that than any other place or time.
