Midlothian Folly [I Love History And Visiting Old Ruins]

This interesting little building stands above a small river in Midlothian, Scotland. In the 18th century, landowners liked to build such places to make their houses and lands more picturesque, more romantic. This one at least has a function of being a place to sit and enjoy nature. I incorporated it into one of my books, which is one reason I took the photograph.
