I see not many people post here [I Love Military History]

Good morning, military historians.
I have an interest but only patchy knowledge, which I am filling in piece by small piece. My interest is in Scottish and British military, up to and including the First World War.

Great learning subjects. I love reading up on WW1 - WW2 history .... did you know that Tolkien鈥檚 lotr trilogy is based on his actual experiences in WW1 ( the battle of the Somme) 馃
