Interesting month, September [I Love History]

September is an interesting month in Scotland's history.
On the first, in 1644, Montrose won the Battle of Tippermuir, then seven years later the barbaric General Monk ravaged Dundee.
On 3rd September 1939 Scotland is at war with Hitler's Germany
On 6th Sept 1876 John MacLeod was born - he won the Nobel Prize
On 11th Sept 1297, Wallace gubbed the English at Stirling Brig
On 17th, David Buick was born in Arbroath, he built cars in the USA
Also on the 17th I was born - much the most important!

@helensusanswift believe me you are :-) Great age! Old enough to know what's what and young enough to do whatever you want :-)

@SteveTomms That sounds great. I'll stay here then, and grow no older.
