You can't bring technology or any possessions with you. Assume that you magically have learned to be fluent in the language, and you simply show up, dressed in appropriate clothing.

With centuries of history and experience to draw on, what difference could you make when you talked to people from that era?

I could probably tell them about hygiene, and the importance of washing bowls and pots with soap, rather than just scraping them off. People did not know about microbes back then.

I have been watching Netflix - The Roman Empire.

I think I'd make haste to somewhere in the boondocks. It was pretty easy to get dead in ancient Rome.
