Learn Your History. . . [I Want to Share Little Known Black History Facts]

If you have never taken college level African American History, you are doing yourself a disservice. Schools don't teach you what you should know. Not only black people need to know this, but white people as well. Our history is shared, no matter how terrible it is. Education is the quickest route to understanding. What they teach us in school is so whitewashed and watered down. You need to know the nitty-gritty. The shit that keeps you awake at night. You need to know how slavery, prejudice, and racism is still infecting the black community today. Yes, I support trump. Yes, love white people and all people. But, if white people love us, then they will do what is right. Educate yourself today. That is enough. If college is not accessible to you, there are plenty of articles and youtube videos available for those who want to learn. Take it from me, it is not easy to do. This history will be painful. For both black and white people. But, just because something is scary or painful does not mean we should ignore it. Black lives and all lives matter. This is not just black history, it is white history as well. It is also present day. Help yourself and your neighbor by building compassion through knowledge.
