I Love History

Today June 4th, one of the most shameful political treaties in human history was signed, Treaty of Trianon.

In the wake of that treaty, the newborn state of Hungary only kept 28% of the land the pre-war Kingdom of Hungary (then a part of Austro-Hungarian empire) had. It was one of the largest, most unfair humiliations ever inflicted on a nation.

Btw, I am not Hungarian.
"Instead of Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia, we have Slovaks, Slovenes, Croats and Serbs. We are happy to build the common future with Slovakia, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia, which are proud of their national identity. History has given the chance, perhaps the last, for the peoples of Central Europe to open a new era, to defend themselves against the danger from the West and the East, and to emerge together." - Viktor Orban
@Mugin16 Although the danger from the East is a thing of the past whereas the danger from the West (EU) is real.
