The nightclub reopening my Dad told us about happened last night. It was supposed to be a private bash, for the owner and his crew, the workers who had completed the revamping early, but there were more males than females. So, the owner asked my father, one of his business partners in the venture to help out.
The club has been revamped in a classical Roman villa style, lots of mosaics and trompé l'oïle styling, the pattern those villas uncovered in Pompeii. I like all the classical motifs, the ancient history make up.
Everyone was expected to dress in ancient Roman style, yes like a toga party, lots of gladiators, praetorians and legionnaries. Vladana and I found it very easy to source apparel since we wear shawls very much like Roman togas indoors, we both wore pale blue chiffon gauze togas wrapped around our otherwise naked bodies, and gold painted Roman style leather sandals.
