Genghis Khan. No one has conquered more territory than he did.
Then, he motivated the skilled workers to create cities, roads etc...

Napoleon was an ego maniac that conquered territory just for the glory.
Then, he was beat my a woman, Mother Nature. He was defeated by the Russian Winter.

He returned to France with about 10 percent of the soldiers he invaded Russia with. Then, after he began the retreat; he abandoned his soldiers once he reached Poland and raced ahead to Paris, to see his precious Josephine who was screwing anybody and everybody while he was gone.

Genghis Khan died in Russia conquering territory, Napoleon was convicted of treason and died in prison.
