Has this scene come true?

Some truth to this i think.

Over the last fifty years we've seen the collapse of everything that used to underpin what we used to know as society.

The idea that you went to school to learn about the world.
Leave to go to work locally.
Eventually earn enough to be able to pay a mortgage for a home of your own.
Take vacations to places that interest you - internally.
Raise a family.
Watch them follow in your footsteps.
Maybe even go to work at your workplace.
Watch them buy a home, not far from yours.
Watch them raise a family that you see regularly.
Spend the holidays together.

A real sense of community.

And then money became the object of the game.

Industry died.
You couldn't follow in your parents footsteps.
You had to move away in pursuit of work or an affordable mortgage.
You hooked-up with somebody entirely inapropriate.
Had 'unwanted' children.
Then got caught in a cycle of debt; unafordable living expense; separation......

Adults have a responsibility to battle capitalism and create their society. American people refuse to be grown ups.
