Here's a bit of the "round Earth" evidence that we can all observe. No NASA, no satellites, just local observations. Well, OK, the plane routes might cost some serious $$.

@jackieash Yes indeed! Ancient Greeks watched ships sail away from harbor, and noticed that the hull appeared to sink lower and lower until only the masts could be seen. The same observations are much easier today from a hill above a harbor with a good pair of binoculars. They also noticed that during a lunar eclipse, the shadow of the Earth cast onto the moon had a curved edge.
