Ok this might be a counter-conspiracy thingie...

Because originally the conspiracy was that that the US had taken out Nordstream to force the Germans to stop buying energy from the Russians. And I really did think that was plausible given it made little sense to me why Russia would blow up it's own pipeline...

But now that the Russians are proposing to pipe all their gas through Turkey, I'm wondering if it could have been the Russians sabotaging their own pipeline in order to make Turkey the new Germany and really upending the power balance in Europe

Yes, because it makes a whole lot of sense, that President Biden, on the verge of losing the mid-term elections, in no small part thanks to high energy prices, would make energy prices higher.

While Putin wants to get the $s from gas sales, OPEC, aka the Saudis, gave him breathing room, by jacking up oil prices. His purposes are better served, by putting pressure on shivering Europeans, having to eat cold food.

It never made any sense that anyone other than Russia would be behind this sabotage and epic greenhouse gas release into the atmosphere

The idea that the US could be behind it came directly from Russia (imagine that)
