I Am An Archaeologist

I can't wait to hit the field! I want to study the Neanderthals. I have a hypothesis which explains their disappearance.

Most are usually killed. The remainder are interbred. This is what happened to the original white natives of North America many thousands of years ago.
@PrivatePeeks what “original white natives” of North America ?
CharlieZ · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard The Donaldisian
PrivatePeeks · 26-30, F
@bijouxbroussard The first natives of NA lived on the Pacific shore and were related to the original white inhabitants of Japan (The Ainu).
@CharlieZ LOL. Some white supremacist groups have postulated that whites predate the natives who crossed the Bering Strait, as a way of justifying Europeans later colonizing the New World and killing them off. I just hope the poster’s not repeating that nonsense.

@PrivatePeeks That wave was not the first but the last one.

There were no homosapiens in North America tens of thousands of years ago. The farthest back is 13,000 years ago. Most agree on 11,000. That's when the ice shelf over Canada melted enough for humans to pass through it.

@bijouxbroussard Not at all. The finds in BC, Canada are real- and there was a dispute over possession of the remains of this eradicated people.
PrivatePeeks · 26-30, F
@Nomad Amended. South American remains are older (about -18,500). I don't know the date of the newest finds, but the first ice shelf emigration is believed possible over 20, 000 years ago- and this people are genetically traced to ancient Scandinavians and northern Asiatics.

@CharlieZ The Beringians
@PrivatePeeks I’m not finding any information on that.
PrivatePeeks · 26-30, F
@bijouxbroussard In short, ancient Scandinavians are believed to have populated Siberia 35k years ago. 10k later they are believed to have merged with northern Asiatics: forming a new race (the Beringians). 5k later this race is believed the first to have settled in North America. This was postulated by genetically tracing human remains, and is a recent work (this decade).
@PrivatePeeks That’s what white supremacists are claiming. It’s racist bullsh*t.

@PrivatePeeks Hmmmmmmmmm....no serious scientific indexed publications on that storytelling at all.

Yes some very preliminar about occidental interbreeding of north asiatics and early scandinavians. But that was researched on people that lived about the III century BC and in North West Europe.
Nothing near to what you are saying!
CharlieZ · 70-79, M
@PrivatePeeks Would you provide us a link to a or refference about this on a serious academic scientific publication?
I honestly doubt there is such a thing.
