The USA might like to think it's omnipotent but even it drive earthquakes. Those result from the Earth's internal workings far beyond any human control.

I'll leave your inter-party insult-trading to you Americans, but given that the USA kidnapped Venezuala's president to keep the same government there but under Washington supervision, presumably America will be foremost in giving aid to the earthquake victims.

About 85% of the votes I've cast in my lifetime have been for Republicans. Not many since around 2004 though. The main reason was that Republicans claimed fiscal responsibility and I believed it. That proved to be false. They claimed tax breaks for the wealthy benefitted everyone. It did not and it does not. Since then the Republican Party has left me behind in many ways. Especially on nearly every social issue.

@MoveAlong But still on International front, they are the one who will protect- what USA was conceptualized to be. Anyways, good that you learnt your lesson. Hopefully, there will be many lessons you still may learn. We all mature as we age.
