It's a religious issue. And even that is a contentious issue religiously.

What does a chocolate egg laying rabbit have to do with your own beliefs, when chocolate itself didn't exist until the 18th century.🤷🏻‍♂

Like commercialism isn't about profits of course. And both parties are guilty of that.
