I Am a Proponent of Modular Hybrid Next Generation Nukes

Because I believe that this is the ultimate solution for our energy needs. What happened over the weekend is scary bigly.

Trump, working with MAGA Utah Governor and Hegseth, flew C-17s from a California airbase, to a Utah airbase, to transport components of the Valar Atomics Ward 250 unfueled nuclear reactor from March Air Reserve Base, Calif., to Hill Air Force Base, Utah, on Sunday.

Valar Atomics officials handed out black caps emblazoned with the words “Make Nuclear Great Again.” Pentagon and Energy Department officials, reporters and industry representatives sat alongside the reactor module, encased in plexiglass, during the hourlong flight.

The press materials made it sound as if Trump invented the whole thing. In fact, this technology is part of the 2023 "123 Agreement" between the US and the Philippines, with plans to accelerate reactor deployment.

The goal was to introduce 1,200 MW of nuclear capacity by 2032.

The Utah experiment's aim is to produce 750KW or enough to power 200 homes, by Jul 4th, 2026.

Why did Greenpeace oppose the project in the Philippines? Because this design produces at least TWICE as much as radioactive waste than traditional reactors, but the company claims that they figured out how to dispose of safely!!!

Here's another thing that makes me nervous. Valar Atomics was founded by a 16-year high-school dropout, who's 25 now, after getting into the business 3 or so years ago, and the total sum of his experience in the field is that his great grandfather discussed stuff with him when he was a kid, over breakfast with his great grandma.

There's a lot more to the story, but I know a couple of things about the technology, and fast tracking it to July 4th 2026, instead of 2032, makes me extremely nervous.

I can see the Fox headlines: Trump solved the energy crisis.

Trump doesn't care if it's safe or not. He needs that energy quickly.

This is why the need to remove EPAs ability to regulate.

No regulation no way to regulate any environmental protections.

That removal of EPAs ability to regulate was multipurposed. Not just about climate change and carbon emissions or coal mining.

It's everything across the board.
