It's undoubtedly the US of A.
Firepower, technology, manpower, and financing.
The only other country that comes close is China.
Currently they're a distant 2nd.
They have more soldiers, but the edge on the will to fight and die by each soldier would lean heavily in America's favor.

The will to fight? Are you kidding me? The average American lives a life on easy street compared to the poor devil he is sent to kill. Back in the days when we were bombing Vietnam, supply ships kept our soldiers well fed on ice cream and coke while the rice farmers get hammered by the air force raining on them bombs and napalm. The only time when we had a will to fight was against the Japanese.

Also, for everyone eating popcorn and watching me shred this SHILL ACCOUNT, should go check his account, see all of his contradictory posts and realize that it’s a SHILL ACCOUNT, meant to spread and sow divisive talking points to further divide the United States of America.
🇺🇸
Then they should block the account as a matter of rote.

Take note of how this account doesn't reply to his divisive comments anywhere about anything.

Let's review our major wars since WWII.
Korea: we fought to a standstill, set up a DMZ, never settled.
Vietnam: we retreated; Saigon was renamed Ho Chi Minh City.
Iraq: Bush admin helped set up Islamic constitution & gov't.
Afghanistan: Taliban waited us out and took over.
The US has the best first strike capabilities. On follow through and nation building, NOPE.
I have a fully fictional working brain

@ElwoodBlues If the military were unchained from the political process (something I don’t want or recommend) we could raze any nation to dust in hours.
The question was Military Might. I took that to mean raw power and capability. Not nation building or the will of a rotating government to start, follow through, and end any given conflict.
But as so many people have become so seemingly offended by my answer, I humbly withdraw it in the face of such intellectual prowess and knowledge. Surely, the smartest military assessors from across the globe, reside here within the SW ether.
Surely, I am completely mistaken in my opinion.

As far as the Vietnam “POLICE ACTION “ goes, well there never was any true objective, nor was there any solid reasoning behind it. There wasn’t any political or national will for any of it.
It was a thing cooked up by politicians and military leaders and advisors to get rid of surplus, outdated munitions, as well as conduct unconventional and uncontrolled experiments with newer ways to kill people.
Again, this is just another of my unintelligent opinions and should be completely ignored.
