Ernest Hemingway, Or Why Truth Is Not Woke

Just like most of my pre-woke generation, we were introduced to Ernest Hemingway, not only as a literary giant, but also a man's man. He fished, he killed animals, he fought Germans, he did it all.

I was watching a PBS documentary, and imagine my shock to learn that he liked to wear women's lingerie and having his partner treat him like a girl and him pretending she's a man.

No, you can see it in some of his writing. Perhaps not the lingerie yet Hemingway had some very controversial topics in his books regarding sex. Those books would not be published today even.

Even my dad called Hemingway a pervert. Yet my dad would read most stuff. Including Piers Anthony. Now Piers Anthony was really bad on sex controversy. It's a miracle any of that got published.
