Trump Attacks U.N. and Lectures Nations in Address to General Assembly

Trump’s speech, filled with familiar grievances and false claims, criticized the U.N. as ineffective. Speaking before him, the U.N.’s secretary general warned that the organization’s principles “are under siege.”

Trump questioned the UN's mission and lectured its member nations in a meandering speech. Boasting about his record and assailing the U.N. as ineffective in a nearly hourlong address, he sought to portray himself as the only leader who could solve the world’s problems.

As the General Assembly convened on its 80th anniversary with wars raging in Gaza, Sudan and Ukraine, Trump claimed that he had resolved conflicts around the world while the U.N. had done nothing. “Sadly, in all cases, the United Nations did not even try to help in any on them,” Trump said.

I watched. Trump made a fool of himself and America in front of the world...again.

He said now that he's president the world respects America again.

He claimed he has ended 7 wars.

Claimed he had the highest poll numbers he's ever had.

Again lobbied for the Nobel Peace Prize. "Everyone Agrees, I should get the Nobel Peace Prize".

Claimed scientists and environmentalists want to ban cows.

America has the cleanest air in it's history.

Claimed he had the best selling hat ever "Trump Was Right About Everything". Emphasized again "It's true".

"Since I took office we have commitments for 17 trillion dollars", without explanation.

There's so much more.

What has God wrought. A complete fool for sure.

I was in the car the other day and on the radio they were saying how trump had some big announcement about autism. My knee-jerk thought was, "Oh no, what did the peanut king think of this time?"
And sure enough, it was something brilliant as always.

The comforting thing is that most of what he fabricates soon fades out. Yeah he tries to recycle old "bull" now and then but for new stuff, he is chomping at the bit.

People think trump doesn't care about the environment, but just think like I said, he recycles. 😄

@MoveAlong I was just kidding. However what I said is true. The local ABC affiliate (Seattle), owned by Sinclair Broadcasting, did not air it.

I however, subscribe to streaming services that bypass the local ABC affiliate. Kimmel did mention it in his monologue. Beside I am traveling overseas. Here's the monologue:

@MoveAlong @Northwest Networks can block stuff but that won't prevent people from seeing it.

It might become less convenient to see what we want but it is out there.

I do not watch much TV but I always manage to find what I want to see. Except for a few really obscure things but mainstream - no problems.

EDIT - Well according to the video above, even some right wingers were concerned about the Kimmel situation. Seems they are starting to realize the leopard isn't eating just the faces of the Left.

My gyod, some on the right are waking up. 😮

Of course MAGA cheered. It kind of reminds me of when we were in school. Remember when little Johnny finally got in trouble and the other kids would mock him but then THEY got in trouble?
