George Floydd.....Charlie Kirk...

Stop and notice the difference.
GF, a violent criminal and drug addict, was hailed a hero. His death caused riots, destruction and other violence.
CK, a political activist, family man, God fearing Christian, caused no deaths, crimes, or violence, but was killed for his opinions.
What's wrong with this picture and who is responsible?

George Floyd actually went to a decent church and even engaged in local missionary work, there is a lesson in this, Christians can still struggle with strong sins. Remember in my posts they may sometimes be misconcieved as condemning but like all posters, I am actually preaching to myself too.

Charlie Kirk on one of his last videos, promoted 'Voice of the Martyrs' a charity supporting persecuted Christians worldwide, sadly something lacking in many Christians.

They were both Christians.

I to get distressed at the lack of empathy shown by many people who call themselves Christians.
Whether George Floyd was a Christian or not- he did not deserve someone disregarding his pleas and cutting off his air until he died.
The man who killed George Floyd is not a hero.
George Floyd was not a hero he was just a man who died who was flawed.
Don't we remember that Jesus was kind to some of the most deprived people in the bible?
That he forgave them.
I do never forget that he told them to go sin no more, but he didn't automatically just decide they were trash unworthy of repentance.
Is that something we conveniently forget when somebody's politics don't match our own?
@Justmeraeagain Few things to unpack here.

1. I didn't call Floyd a hero- I pointed out he actually did missionary work and attended a good church.

2. I pointed out that Floyd was a Christian as I am getting fed up with the name calling of him from proffesing Christians on here.

I point out he was a Christian as Christians are to have a special, distinct love for each other as Christ said. 1 John extends this point and says that if you don't have this love for the brothers and sisters in Christ, the truth is not in you.

I believe you took that way more personally than I attended you to.
I said meant that even if he wasn't a Christian he still deserved respect so I don't understand what the problem with that is?
I'm not sure if you're telling me I'm not a Christian because I said something you didn't like?
I never said some people are not worthy of love .
Even made a point to include that Jesus loved and forgave all who asked no matter what others thought of them or who they were.
I really thought I was agreeing with most of what you had to say so I did not expect this answer.
@Justmeraeagain Not personally at all, was making a collective reference.

Ofcourse everyone should get respect.

Your answer was pretty similar to mine so I must be confused too 🤭

I don't judge other proffesions of Christian faith, but in discerning testimonies I am worse than Puritan Board🤭

It is sometimes hard to understand intent on the internet.
@Justmeraeagain Yes- you can't see facial expressions and body language!
