will reform win the next election

i don't want them to win, i think something drastically should be done about mass illegal immigration....but i still don't want farage to become the PM........but i think the terrible job labour are doing, they're paving the way for reform to gain power.

There is no "mass" illegal immigration. That's what Reform and their billionaire backers want you to believe.

Only Labour can stop Reform from winning. They've still got four years. And the best way to do this is to reform the voting system to Proportional Representation. That will no doubt give Reform a sizeable platform in government, but better than them governing unopposed.

then explain all the boats coming here daily from over the channel? and all the hotels across the country filled with illegal migrants

@durinsBane1983 Easy. It's the fault of Brexit.

(Plus the number of illegals coming by boats is less than 2% of the amount of people arriving legally in the UK)

@durinsBane1983 Quite true I'm afraid.

In fact, the number of illegals coming by boat is actually less than that. It's more like 1.6%

And Brexit is directly responsible for the increase in small boats. I will try and explain in simple English.

Before Brexit, we were part of the Dublin system. That meant: if someone crossed to the UK by small boat, but they'd already claimed asylum in France, Italy, Germany, wherever, we could legally send them straight back.

Simple. Fast.
Thousands of returns every year.

But when we left the EU in 2020, we left Dublin too.

Now we have no automatic right to return anyone. Every case has to be argued, one by one, and most go nowhere.

This is why small boat numbers have risen so rapidly since 2020. We left Dublin.

So, if you voted for Brexit to stop the boats, remember that you helped to tear up the tool that actually stopped them.

Do you understand?
