Trump wants to end voting by mail. Has he spoken to the folks in Utah?

Trump has once again railed against voting by mail, even though he has voted by mail in the past, as NPR reported back in 2020.

Trump, While Attacking Mail Voting, Casts Mail Ballot Again
August 19, 2020 4:11 PM ET

In 2020 President Trump cast a vote-by-mail ballot in Florida this week after months of questioning the security of the method of voting, and in doing so he returned it to election officials using a technique many Republicans say should be illegal.

The way Trump voted shows how he's had to walk a fine line, and often tweak his language around voting, to adjust for political realities and his own behavior.

Trump submitted the Florida primary ballot by giving it to a third party to return, a spokesperson for the Palm Beach elections supervisor confirmed to NPR on Wednesday. Republicans often derisively refer to sending in a ballot this way as "ballot harvesting," and it's something Trump has criticized.

"GET RID OF BALLOT HARVESTING, IT IS RAMPANT WITH FRAUD," he tweeted in April.

After his recent meeting with Putin, once again Trump has attacked voting by mail.

The GOP spent millions supporting mail ballots. Now Trump’s attacking them again.
Trump wants to roll back mail voting that he baselessly claims is ripe for fraud.

Donald Trump’s renewed crusade against mail voting is once again threatening to undermine his party’s efforts.

Republicans poured tens of millions of dollars last year into convincing their voters that casting ballots by mail was safe after Trump spent years bashing the practice and baselessly insisting it was rife with fraud. And it worked, with GOP voters closing or even reversing the mail voting gap with Democrats in several states.

If that's no enough blowback to Trump's redicoulous claims, perhaps the folks from the ruby red state of Utah would like a word with him.

Utah promotes voting by mail and voter registration. Who knew the GOP loved voting by mail? It's obvious the self proclaimed genius Trump doesn't know.

IMO, Utah has the gold standard for voting by mail and it should be adopted nationwide.

Here's how they do it in Utah:

Utah has been voting by mail and it has proven to be a secure and accessible way to vote.

1. How does vote by mail work?
Your county clerk uses various security and privacy measures to ensure that your mail ballot is secret and counted accurately. (A short video explains the process.)

2. Do I have to mail my ballot?
No. If you do not want to mail your ballot using the United States Postal Service, you have other options to turn in your ballot:

Drop your ballot off at a drop box location. Find drop boxes in your county.
Drop your ballot off at an early voting location or an Election Day voting location. Find a location near you.
You can return your ballot by mail but it must be postmarked before election day. If you prefer to use a secure dropbox, your ballot must be dropped off before 8:00 pm on Election Day.

3. What happens if my signature on my ballot envelope doesn’t match?
Your county election officials will compare the signature on your ballot envelope with the signature on your previous ballots and your voter registration form. If your signature does not match, your county clerk will notify you. You will be given an opportunity to submit an affidavit called a “cure letter” that allows you to affirm that your signature is correct. Once your county election official receives your affidavit, the ballot will be counted.

You have states, fifty of them! To break up the country and make government weak. Enjoy! You're balkanized. You are so jealous of others you'll balkanize everyone!
