Vladimir Putin Embarrassed Donald Trump on American Soil Yesterday.
The Alaska summit was a disaster for all Americans.

Vladimir Putin embarrassed Donald Trump again. This time on American soil, because Trump was desperate and dumb enough to let Putin talk him into a summit in Alaska.

Putin is a brutal dictator who invaded a sovereign U.S. ally and killed civilians. He should’ve never been allowed back into the United States without being put in handcuffs, let alone invited. And Trump? He’s the worst possible person to stand up to someone like Putin. The worst person to defend American values against a monster.

All day yesterday, the entire conservative influencer machine hyped this meeting like Trump was about to bring peace to the world. “The greatest dealmaker alive.” “The war ends today.” But it didn’t. Nothing changed, except our standing in the world. Putin got exactly what he wanted and gave up nothing.

Even Fox News was stunned. Their reporting laid it out: this was Putin’s first visit to the U.S. in a decade, and not only was he invited—he was the first one to address the press. On American soil, it should be the American president who speaks first. Not the leader of a foreign nation. Certainly not a war criminal. But Trump let himself get steamrolled. Let himself be humiliated in front of the press corps by Vladimir Putin.

Neither of them took questions. And when a reporter asked Putin if he’d stop murdering civilians in Ukraine, he got indignant. Did Trump stand up and say, “It’s wrong to kill civilians”? Hell no. Because he’s too much of a coward. He’s not trying to end the war. He’s not trying to protect American interests. He’s chasing a win, any win, because his approval numbers are tanking and he doesn’t want to talk about the economy, the Epstein coverup, or the Republican budget disaster.

Fox’s Jacques Heinrich said, “The way that it felt in the room was not good. It did not seem like things went well. And it seemed like Putin came in and steamrolled Trump, got right into what he wanted to say and got his photo next to the president and then left.”

That’s exactly what happened. Putin walked in, looked stronger than Trump, got the shot he came for, and dipped. He wanted to go back to Moscow and say, “I flew to evil America, stood next to their weak-ass president, and represented Mother Russia.” And we gave him that. We made him look stronger. We got nothing.

Ukraine wasn’t even invited to participate. Europe, whose fate hangs in the balance, wasn’t included either. And as far as anyone can tell, no progress was made. America looks weaker on the world stage. Again.

And every damn day, some conservative influencer or congressman is out here begging the Nobel Peace Prize committee to hand Trump the award. But the world’s not more peaceful. It’s more chaotic. Less safe. And that’s because we have a complete collapse of American leadership.

Republicans love to claim Trump “ended wars.” India and Pakistan. Israel and Iran. Whatever. But those conflicts don’t boil over like they did when there’s strong American leadership—leadership that uses both hard power and diplomacy to keep bad actors in line. I don’t think there’s any world where India and Pakistan would’ve clashed under a serious American president like Biden, Obama, or even George W. Bush. And I’m no fan of Bush.

But Trump? He’s too weak. Doesn’t matter what the crisis is. His half-assed Ukraine plan, which he promised would end the war “on day one,” has gone nowhere. His tariff war is wrecking alliances and driving up prices. His economy is a mess. He can’t execute. His entire brand is the “art of the deal,” and right now, he can’t land a goddamn plane on anything.

And that’s what really worries me. The weaker he gets, the more likely he is to sell out Ukraine, sell out the American people, sell out the entire free world just so he can slap a fake “win” on the scoreboard. Putin knows this. He’s desperate at home too, desperate for an off-ramp to this war. But he’s got more leverage, because Trump is a weak, vain man chasing a photo op and a Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump won’t even push for sanctions that could cripple Russia’s economy and bring them back to the table. That’s the core failure of this presidency: no vision for peace, no vision for economic growth, no strategy, no plan, no clue. Just optics. Just vibes. He wants to look strong, but he’s a weak little man.

America is weaker than I’ve ever seen it in my lifetime. And it’s because we’ve got a guy in the White House with no moral center, no real strength, and no clue how to lead. I’m embarrassed for our country today. Every American deserves better—no matter who they voted for. We deserve a president who at least tries to make sense of the chaos. Who at least tries to keep us safe. Who can’t be bullied by a tyrant inside our own country… or on the world stage.

This presidency can’t end fast enough.
