The art of dealmaking was decidedly absent from that meeting. It was a waste of time and resources.
However, it did show that Tяump's bluster about ending the war in Ukraine was just as impotent as ever.

I will get it settled before I even become president,” Trump said during his September debate with then-Vice President Kamala Harris. “If I win, when I’m president-elect, and what I’ll do is I’ll speak to one, I’ll speak to the other. I’ll get them together.”
tRump, Mar 15, 2025: "Pretty good vibes coming out of Russia" ... "I feel that Russia is going to make a deal with us."
