He still won the election with those numbers. He was quite popular! I guess all the trumped up charges didn’t help the democrats at all.
The only people that didn’t vote was all the dead people that democrats use. I am not really commenting because I am 100% for Trump but for the post that obviously makes the democrats worse. If some didn’t vote that means they didn’t like any candidate not even the one of their party and that goes against both sides

@Kypro he got more votes is how he won. On the popular vote he won more votes than last time. He also won the electoral vote.
He won partly because of those trumped up charges from the democrats trying to lessening his chances of winning. The democrats are shooting themselves in the foot and it hasn’t even been a year! I don’t agree with all that’s happening, but I’m at least give him a chance.

@specman He won a plurality of the popular votes, not a majority.
He won by getting the 32% who voted for him out.

@SomeMichGuy I never said that he won the majority. He did win more votes than last time

The last time? In 2020, Biden won by far more votes than DJT got in 2024:
2020
Biden
81,283,501 Winner, popular vote
DJT
74,223,975 Loser, popular vote
In 2016, DJT lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes
2016
HRC
65,853,514 Winner, popular vote
DJT
62,984,828 Loser, popular vote
2024
DJT
77,302,580 Winner, popular vote
KDH
75,017,613 Loser, popular vote
Over three elections:
DJT
214,511,383 total votes FOR
Not DJT (Democrats only)
222,154,628 total votes AGAINST DJT
so 7,643,245 more votes AGAINST DJT than for him

@SomeMichGuy that is not what we are discussing. You proved my point that Trump received more votes than last time… some people crossed party lines to vote for him.

@specman Thats quite true. He did get more votes than his previous win.. And this question would have some meaning if we were talking about a 100M sprint or even a beauty contest. (Theres a couple of images regarding trump to sit in your mind a moment) But what he won was the governorship of the nation for 4 years.. How many votes he won by is unimportant. He was the peoples choice, by the rules..We can argue about lies, or how stupid the voters were. But again, unimportant. What is important is how he and his appointees are running the nation. I think we can all have our doubts about that..And if Americans do have those doubts, what are they going to do to fix the problem next time. Assuming there is a next time..
Winning is not the goal of this race.. Winning is the start..😷

Conservatives are trying to do that now, I'm glad you're against turning it over though
I’m against trying to turn over same sex marriage. Everyone deserves to be happy

@SatanBurger if religion is kept out of the courts it will not be turned over imo. Everyone should be able to join in marriage. I firmly believe that.

@specman But in a broader sense, laws restricting any right should only be made on the basis of doing harm, damage or loss to others.. If that cannot be verified or predicted, anything should be allowed.. Thats freedom after all.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman it doesn’t affect anyone else. It’s none of their concern

Yes, DJT got more popular votes in 2024 than eithet of the other times (when he lost both popular votes, regardless of how many he got).
Actually, people crossed party lines to vote against him. If you look at his plurality percentage and multiply that by the turnout percentage, you get 32% of the registered voters voting for him.
While some people might have done as you say, I think it's more likely that the "Republican" Party got DJT's core supporters out in the 90%+ levels.

Not a majority.
Not near 50%.
Just 32%.

The current "Republican" Party is trying to turn back the clock over 100 years, and wants to control EVERYthing.
Didn't you hear "Justice" Amy saying that banning abortion would raise the "domestic" crop of babies for adoption? lol

@SomeMichGuy tbh I don’t know if it will or not.
@SomeMichGuy I’m not the typical conservative you are used to dealing with. I’m more chilled! Lol!

@SomeMichGuy that’s a tricky question off the top of my head I don’t believe in anti American protests
