The question is, has the USA taken over the Vatican?

Or is the Vatican taking over the USA?

🤔

@sarabee1995 Omg, I just saw the headline. An American Pope???? Wow.
Elessar · 31-35, M
@sarabee1995 first pope from the USA!
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Elessar I need to read up on him. I know nothing about him. I didn't even know there was an American in the running.

@sarabee1995 From what I've read his positions are somewhat similar to Francis', he's apparently already had a disagreement with at least Vance, and has double citizenship (US/Peru).

Zuppi or Tagle would've been more progressive, but I think he's overall some sort of an American Sergio Mattarella (obviously he's a pope and Mattarella a politician, but still; I mean as an influential person in function of moderator), which could be a good thing given the historical period

He's from Chicago, no less.

And Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson tweeted: "Everything dope, including the Pope, comes from Chicago!"

@Thinkerbell Is being from Chicago a good thing or a bad thing?? Keep in mind, I'm basically from Boston so we don't like anyone west of Worcester! 🤣🤣🤣

Is being from Chicago a good thing or a bad thing??

Depends on who you ask 😂

@sarabee1995

It's pretty bad, judging from the string of mayors they've had there.

And you're right... west of Worcester,
it just gets worster and worster. 🤭
@Thinkerbell Especially that greater NYC area 😉
