Funny you should say that jack, because I was just having this same discussion with someone yesterday.
Where things really went off the rails for the USA was as far back as BO's first Term as President. As his VP, he chose Joe Biden which at time time seemed like a really weird choice to me. It was weird because Joe Biden has always presented himself as being a 'good time Charlie' whenever he was out in public and in many ways, he embarrassed BO when the two were seen together.
Knowing this about Joe Biden, I could not understand why BO talked Joe into coming out of retirement to run for POTUS back in 2020?
To me, it seemed like BO simply didn't know any better than to ask Joe in the first place, or that the Dems were so desperate for anyone at all that Joe was perceived as being the best the Dems had to offer at the time. Sure enough, Joe apparently was!
But then where Joe himself made a fatal error, was in not knowing enough to announce his final retirement at the end of his first Term, thereby giving the Party an opportunity to find a timely replacement!
Joe's ego is what killed the Dems right out of the gate. He had already retired from politics and now he came back to serve as POTUS as a favor to BO, but then he thought he was greater than he really was and thought he could muster a second term. Truth is, he might have won over the performance that Kamala otherwise demonstrated to the world. What the hell was that about?
I don't blame Joe totally, because the Dems themselves including Joe's wife should have told Joe the score long before he was basically forced out of Office. Instead, they all stood to one side and let Joe slide into slow decline while pretending that he was okay! Pathetic really.

Yet be did publicly support Bidet. Interesting. @soar2newhighs
@jackjjackson BO was/is a self serving individual. Sometimes his true feelings came out, like “Mike” or the remark about Biden.
Anyone who decries the 1%ers but has at least one if not two multi million dollar homes, needs to be watched.

What does BO need a residence in DC for? No retired president who was or is a resident of another state has acquired a DC residence post presidency. @soar2newhighs
