Biden ordered strikes on Houthis using B2 bombers.

Once again the US is using superior firepower on a ragtag band of resistance fighters. Does this make sense?

Each unit of the state of the art aircraft costs American taxpayers a whopping $1.4 billion to pay for its stealth capability to penetrate the air defense of rival superpowers and drop nuclear bombs to defend the homeland. Why is the President using this asset to deliver bunker buster bombs on Houthis because they are a nuisance to merchant shipping in the Gulf of Eden? Who is complaining? We know the President is addled. Is Llyod Austin, the Defense Secretary, also an idiot?

It depends on whether you consider attacks on US vessels a "nuisance" or not.

If you don't, where do you draw the line? Would you have let 9/11 pass? What about Pearl Harbor? Or Fort Sumter?

Also, we don't know if the president is "addled." Biden gave a great speech at the DNC, he sounded just fine to me. Meanwhile, Trump's dementia is getting worse as he emits more word salads and at a recent rally, spent a half hour attempting to dance to the background music. Putting our nuclear arsenal in his hands should terrify any sane person.

What US vessel was attacked?

Is the US suffering from PTSD? If we keep poking other people in the eye, we are going to get whacked. Imagine you have a son who is always fighting with other kids at school, would you think your kid have screw loose or that other students keep picking on him? Either way, there is something wrong with your offspring. The root cause could be you.
@sree251 Nov. 15, 2023 - USS Thomas Hudner shot down a Houthi drone headed toward it. The same vessel shot down several other attacking drones over the next week.

Nov. 29, 2023 - USS Carney shot down a drone attacking it.

Jan. 4, 2024 - An unmanned surface vessel exploded 1 mile from several US Navy ships.

Jan. 10, 2024 - 21 UAVs and missiles attacked the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, USS Gravely, USS Laboon, USS Mason, and USS Diamond.

Jan. 14, 2024 - Anti-ship cruise missile fired against USS Laboon.

Shall I go on? You can look this up if you're interested. In addition to the US, other countries, including France and Pakistan, are also engaged in actions against the Houthis.

As to your last paragraph, you didn't answer the question. Are you saying the US instigated the attacks on 9/11, Pearl Harbor, and Fort Sumter? The word for someone like you who thinks the U.S. is always wrong and any attack against it is justified is "tankie."

Was 9/11 perpetrated by Arabs? The jury is still out on this ingenious "tail-wag dog" scheme that sacrificed the lives of 3000 innocent Americans. The timing was perfect: during the term of the dumbest US President alive then: George W Bush. The 9/11 perpetrators were laughing and dancing when the US vented fury and went to war all over the Middle East against seven nations: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, and Sudan. Even the soldier who killed Osama bin Laden feels foolish now. Osama was demonized in the same way Trump is being demonized now. Demonization to justify annihilation is the distinguishing method of the beast.
(I saw the youtube documenting the conspiracy theory of how 9/11 went down. I was trained in structural engineering and not a dumbass forum member like Elwood citing research papers to back up wild claims. The explanation of how the twin towers collapsed was spot on. The fact that nailed this conspiracy down was tower No. 7, a block away, that also collapsed the same way even though it was not struck.

Pear Harbor was provoked by the US because Roosevelt refused to lift the embargo on Japan. War is always the way out when the US Government can't fix the American economy. Back then it was the Great Depression. Now, we are stoking storm clouds again over Ukraine and Gaza on account of our staggering national debt of $35 trillion growing all by itself by $1 trillion every 100 days. There are nearly 9000 US business companies established and running in China; and yet, there are woke forum members here echoing the Biden/Harris claim that China is a threat and we need to go to war over Taiwan to protect freedom and democracy. I am sure the tail wag scheme to start WW3 against Russia and China (two nuclear super powers) is being hatched out to fire up every woke American.

Fort Sumter. This was the war of 1812 mainly between the founding fathers of the USA and the original owners of the land, the indigenous natives of America led by Shawnee chief, Tecumseh. The resistance of an oppressed people never stopped until the Sioux leader, Sitting Bull, chief of the Lakhota tribe, fought General Custer at Little Big Horn in 1831. What moral high ground do you, a champion of the woke people, have to cite Fort Sumter in defense of moral justice. Fort Sumter, to me, would be likened to Jerusalem, or any territory in Palestine occupied by zionists.
@sree251 Yes, 9/11 was perpetrated by Arabs. Bin Laden said it was retaliation for US support for Israel and the presence of infidel American troops in the holy land of Saudi Arabia.

There was no conspiracy. The planes were loaded with fuel, which caught fire when they disintegrated within the buildings. The Twin Towers were supported by central columns, with the floors cantilevered out from them. When the heat of the burning fuel weakened the structural members at that level sufficiently, the floor came loose and slid down the columns, pancaking the floors beneath them. Building 7's lower levels were damaged by falling debris from the other buildings and eventually collapsed for that reason. The damage is clearly visible in videos and photographs taken before its collapse.

There is no evidence of a conspiracy, just poorly-understood events where "conspiracy" is the easier conclusion.

The embargo against Japan was because they were allied with Nazi Germany, which our allies in Great Britain were fighting. Japan escalated the conflict by the bombing, which was intended to wipe out the US naval fleet. Fortunately, most of the fleet was at sea, and the attack was unsuccessful in this regard.

Your understanding of history is deficient. Fort Sumter was attacked by the Confederacy in 1860, which started the Civil War. This had nothing to do with the War of 1812 or Little Big Horn which was in 1876, not 1831. Custer was a veteran of the Civil War and wasn't even born until 1839. Sitting Bull (ȟatȟáŋka Íyotake) was born in 1831.

It's fine if you want to be a tankie, but you should check dates first before opining on events you know nothing about.

We don't live in the same world but in parallel universes. Live, and let live. No conflict.
@sree251 Yes. You live in a conservative bubble where people claim to love America while hating everything about it.
