The Israeli media says the IDF launched a preemptive series of strikes, when it detected Hezballah moved its rockets into launch positions, and Hezballah started launcing missiles immediately.

@jshm2 Not thrilled with Netanyahu, but he should have allowed Hezbollah to launch a few thousand missiles into Israel just to be a nice guy? Already close to 100,000 Israeli citizens have been driven from their homes and are refugees from Hezbollah attacks.
