Small footnote from the world of acting, the Scots. actress Gudren Ure passed away yesterday.
Having spent much of her 50+ year career in support roles in theatre, she was asked to attend an open casting for the tv serializing of a children's book, The adventures of a Super-Gran.
She got the part and was typically 'famous for 15 minutes' (Warhole quote) back in 1987
