Is it true that Israel wants to build a new canal from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean beside the Suez Canal?

Right now Egypt gets all money generated by the Suez Canal. Israel's canal would be wider to allow 2 ships to pass at one time. Is it true that canal would go through Gaza?

I doubt it. Israel wouldn’t risk its relationship with Egypt, and may countries wouldn’t use it.
