Wow, this is really sad. She was a beautiful young lady.

As someone who grew up in Chicago and loves the city, I really hope that the next mayor can clean it up.

Chicago mayors are notorious for making things worse than the prior mayor....
@originnone Richard M. Daley was the last decent mayor, who left office in 2011. That summer after Rahm Emanuel took office is when chaos really began to ensue.

@latinbutterfly Yes. The first Mayor Daley sure knew how to control street misfits

@latinbutterfly nothing makes an impression (literally) like a hickory shampoo!
@originnone Yeah, from what I understand she was the mayor from 1979-1983. My family moved to Chicago shortly after she left and Harold Washington took over.

@latinbutterfly I remember him as well. I've never been a fan of Chicago, but I went to Purdue, which is fairly close by.
@originnone I was really young during his run, so I don't remember that much about him except when he passed away in '87.

@latinbutterfly I vaguely remember Washington...
@Slade I've seen many different "flavors" of shampoo but I don't think I've ever seen or used hickory 😂.

@latinbutterfly it's fun to see it...not so much to use it.

Although more than a few SW'ers, no doubt, use the hickory stick in entirely "new and exciting" fashion 😳
