Twitter has been dying for a long time and Elon seems more likely to accelerate than reverse the trend. He’s a cuckoo and then some, if that’s what you’re asking.

He’s a genius (albeit a crazy one) with start-ups, but this a turn-around rather than a start-up, and it’s a really different skill set.
@Harmonium1923 I think he'll fix it. It looks like it has been run by leftlist college students not business people.

@FreeSpirit1 I guess it depends on whom you follow. Maybe I'm the only one, but I use it mostly for professional purposes--like a headline news service for articles related to my profession. I don't see a lot of politics on either side. But there's clearly a long history of right-wing as well as left-wing content. For some time, though, I've noticed professional use of the platform declining, at least in my little corner.

@FreeSpirit1 PS: I hope you're right about him fixing it. I miss what it was years ago. The level of ad content alone now has kept me away. Literally one of every five posts (I've been watching and counting) is now ads or clickbait. No thanks. I used to be a daily user, now it's once a month or so.

You got something against apple pies?
Musk’s new blue check mark policy will make Twitter even less credible.
@LeopoldBloom I think more people having the opportunity to prove they are who they say they are will bel be a positive.
@FreeSpirit1 It's not going to be any easier to get a blue check; it's just going to cost $8 a month, assuming the policy is even instituted. A lot of people aren't going to bother, creating the possibility of impersonators claiming their profile.
Twitter is like standing on a full traffic highway….with your hands out…waving to the incoming traffic. Not my circus…
