Twitter Fired Execs Crying All The Way To The Bank
Under previously disclosed terms, CEO Parag Agrawal is likely to receive $57.4 million, including $56.4 million in equity that vests on an accelerated schedule, according to an estimate from Equilar, a compensation data and analysis company.
Departing CFO Ned Segal’s exit package is likely to total $44.5 million, including $43.8 million in accelerated equity, Equilar said.
That's $100M. Musk also fired a bunch of other executives as well. No word yet on how much that cost him, and it would be difficult to get that info, now that the company is no longer publicly traded (he dissolved the Board), and no more Twitter on the NASDAQ, as of today.
Had they stayed with the company, their holdings would have been closer to $50M. Even less with the NASDAQ sliding, and they don't have to worry about when to sell.
