That's One Way Of Doing It

Iran's Mullahs, trying to avoid flaring residual tension, from the murder of a young Kurdish woman, for not wearing proper head covering, at the hands of the moral police, are shutting down schools and universities in Iran’s northwestern region to curb “the spread of influenza.”

The situation in Iran is a mess. I know a British Iranian woman who supports the progress moves against the Iran govt. The whole ME is watching.

Clearly the Kurdish are part of the process, which is good. Unfortunately, aspects of the movement have been coopted by Iranian monarchists who are against the govt but also highly reactionary. Flags of the lion are their sign and the flying at all the British demonstrations.

Iranian monarchists

Yes, of course. Fortunately, they don't have a significant following, but they're making a lot of noise.

If the Mullahs regime falls, a lot of Lebanese, Syrians and Israelis, are going to be celebrating. Not to mention freedom-loving Iranians.

@Northwest It depends which way the chips fall. The Arab Spring was a cautionary tale. My friend lives in hope though.

What I've been seeing are Mullah's being attacked in the street. For all the right reasons. And I don't think closing schools is the wisest move. Although a lot of teachers have already stopped teaching. It's just adding fuel to the fire. Hope they pay for it.
