Definitely good with the lantern. One thing that I have plenty of now, are battery banks. So a battery bank is a little square or rectangular block that you charge, and it holds a certain amount of maH or what is known as milliamp Hour and is a unit that measures (electric) power over time.

So for example I have 3 battery banks that are 10000mAH. But I purchased a couple from Radio Shack when they were still in business, and I think those were something like 4000mAH. The guy told me with a 4000mAH battery bank, you're looking at 2 full charges to your phone.

Well anyway, I have 3 that are 10000mAH, one that is 6600maH, and two that are 5000maH each. So basically between 6 battery banks, I have a total of 46600maH. So the mAh of a battery will determine how much power is stored and how long it can run.

My ultimate main reason for getting that many battery banks is, because several years ago our power went out during an ice storm. And it took 15 days to get our power back. It was awful. The only way I had to charge my phone, was to go out to my car. With all these battery banks, if we lose power for a long period of time, I know that I'll be able to at least get a few days worth of phone charge time. Plus, I could always take the battery banks to my work to charge them as I'm working.

Even if you can get 1 or 2 battery banks, you'll have a way to charge your phone at least. I watch a lot of youtube videos, my next thing that I'd like to do is, get a portable DVD player, and just put a ton of videos from youtube onto a DVD, power goes out, at least I have something to watch.
