There's a link to the opinion in the quoted article, but tbh, I think, even Slate, of all sites, actually understates the havoc Bruen will wreak on the country.
To be sure, New York seems to have deliberately passed a law that couldn't pass muster, and that makes this district court judge's wacky opinion worse, but really only because so many the absurdities of the historical analogue test are illustrated in one place.
So much for judicial restraint.
