Nice meme, but a bit misleading. That graph seems to show costs, not inflation. Prices are indeed still growing fast, but the growth rate (that's inflation) has been dropping since June and data since that act went into effect aren't in yet.

@NerdyPotato Yes, CPI YOY is really misleading. 🤣
NerdyPotato · M
@irishmolly72 it is if you only check if it's still growing when judging measures to change how fast it grows.

@irishmolly72 So, facts be damned, right?

@Northwest All I've been stating are facts.

All you've stated is a misleading meme, and a headline, that you know is a long-term solution, not an immediate fix to a situation created by a combination of disasters, that politicians have no control over. In fact, the only cure is for all of us to regulate our unnecessary spending. Instead, misguided public opinion, forces a solution that will only hurt the lower income, those who need to borrow money.

@irishmolly72 correct, you've stated that prices continue to rise, meaning inflation hasn't been reduced to 0 or became negative. You haven't stated or shown how inflation has changed though and fact is that has been dropping for a few months already and analysis of the first effects of the inflation reduction act isn't finished yet, so nobody can judge that at this point.

@irishmolly72 that seems to be about the stock market. That's hardly representative for the costs of living.

@irishmolly72 I'm sure you think another meme clarifies things. It does not.

@Northwest I just think that cartoon, like you, is funny as hell.

@Northwest I've already posted all the damning facts that are necessary to make my case. No one has credibly refuted any of them.
NerdyPotato · M
@irishmolly72 you haven't even made a case other than inflation not being 0.

@irishmolly72
You posted a meme. Fact: inflation happens all the time, it's the change of rate that's relevant, but it's probably something you can't grasp, because your meme can't convey that.

And you are having trouble processing THAT!
Dude - Biden blows~!
Your life, as pathetic as it is is even worse than it could have been if Biden hadn't cheated.

@Budwick inflation hasn't been 0 for centuries. That has nothing to do with Biden. I don't like the guy either, but I'm not going to blame him for not stopping something from all times.
NatureGuy77 · 56-60, M
@NerdyPotato The ultimate measure is affordability. Even those prices may be holding steady at historically high levels, wages have not made up that difference. People are struggling to pay for necessaries no matter how you spin inflation as not that bad.
NerdyPotato · M
@NatureGuy77 true, for real judgment you need to look two steps further than this meme.
