Esrthquake

We just expérienced an earthquake about 15 minutes ago. The night before last we had a 3.7 one at midnight. They weren’t too scary just a lot of shaking and the street dogs went crazy barking. It was the first experience for my kids.

Update: downgraded to 4.2

When I lived in Alaska we had a lot of quakes and the biggest one registered 6.9 on the Richter scale. And the aftershocks were just as bad as the first one. It shook us pretty hard. The guy in the apartment above us, was shaking out of bed I heard him hit the floor. It was pretty violent but I thought it was pretty cool. It sure is an odd feeling to be shaken like that without a second notice and I'll never ever forget the rumbling sound of it.

As an ex Californian, I know the shake, rattle and roll feeling all to well. Where do you live?
LadyGrace · 70-79
@Ontheroad Me too. I used to live in Alaska and we had a quake that registered 6.9 on the Richter scale.

@LadyGrace Yes, the entire west coast of the country all the way down to South America is prone to quakes. Alaska gets some real strong quakes.
LadyGrace · 70-79
@Ontheroad They sure do, sir. Especially Anchorage.
Mom had a two story home in Joshua Tree Ca. Her old "Grandfather" clock had stopped working years prior to an earthquake in the area that was very severe causing much structural damage to close by areas. Mom and I had to scoot down the stairs on our behinds, suddenly mom yelled out, "Oh my, the grandfather clock just started chiming again" We thought it pretty funny that an earthquake fixed her old clock.

Stay safe.
